What men come in for

Most men who call here are handling everything on paper. Work is covered, the family is provided for, and something underneath has been running on empty for longer than they would admit.

The short fuse

When the anger shows up faster than it used to and lands on the people you would never want it to land on. There is usually something underneath it worth naming.

Pressure and burnout

Carrying the job, the mortgage, the family, and the expectation that you do not get to be tired. Counseling is one hour where you do not have to hold it up.

Marriage and fatherhood

Wanting to be a better husband and father without knowing what to change. Individual work on this often does more for a marriage than people expect.

Purpose and transition

A career change, a business, an empty house, an identity built on something that ended. Figuring out what comes next, on purpose rather than by default.

Grief men do not talk about

The loss you handled by getting back to work. It tends to wait for you, and it is easier to face with someone in the room.

Faith, if you want it

Faith can be part of the work or stay out of it entirely. Anthony takes it seriously when it matters to you, and never assumes it does.

Questions men ask us

I have never done this. What is it actually like?

It is a conversation, not an interrogation. You say what is going on, your counselor asks questions that get underneath it, and together you decide what to work on. Nobody is going to hand you a diagnosis or tell you how you should feel.

Do I have to talk about my childhood?

Only where it is useful. Plenty of good work here is about right now: the fuse, the pressure, the marriage, the decision in front of you. Where the past matters, you will see why before you go there.

Do you offer a men's group?

A six-week men's group is in the works. Ask about it when you call and we will tell you honestly where it stands and whether it fits what you are looking for.

Is this Christian counseling?

It is professional counseling first. Faith goes as deep in the work as you want it to, and Anthony works with plenty of men who want their faith in the room. Men who want a fully secular approach get exactly that.

Can we meet after work or online?

Flexible appointment times are available, and secure video sessions work from anywhere in Texas, including from a truck between job sites.

What does it cost?

With insurance, your plan's copay or coinsurance, verified before your first session. Self-pay starts at $125. Either way you get the real number before you book.
